- If you have a history of colds sores, please let us know, as we may need to prescribe an antiviral prior to treatment.

- Use Tylenol for discomfort.
- Try to sleep slightly elevated if you experience swelling.

How many sessions are recommended?
Sculptra works gradually to replace collagen lost from the ageing process. You will see a gradual change in appearance of the skin over several weeks as the treatment effect occurs, creating a natural, volumized look.
The general rule of thumb for treatment is to complete 1 vial of Sculptra per decade of age over the course of 3 treatments. These treatments will be spaced 6 weeks apart. As an example, a 40-year-old client would require 4 vials of Sculptra. He/She would receive 2 vials of Sculptra at their first appointment, 1 vial of Sculptra at their second appoint 6 weeks later and 1 vial of Sculptra at their 3rd appointment 6 weeks after their second appointment.
How is Sculptra different from fillers?
Traditional fillers are liquid or gel substances, such as hyaluronic acid. They work by adding volume to smooth out wrinkles, lines and folds with immediate results. They do not stimulate the body to replace collagen. Sculptra is biodegradable and biocompatible and works deep under the skin to gradually replace lost collagen or correct skin creases, wrinkles, folds and scars and for skin aging. Results emerge over a few weeks for a subtle, natural and volumized appearance that can last over 2 years.
